Beginning Instruments and Supplies

All Students Regardless of Instrument

Students will use a specific binder just for Band this year. Here are the required parts of the CCI Band Binder:

1. 1 inch black binder with clear or translucent window.

2. 5 tabbed dividers (student's choice of color, design, etc)

3. Pencil pocket/pouch that clips into rings with sharpened pencils (student's choice of color, design, etc.)

4. Notebook paper.

Please label the dividers:

1. Fundamentals

2. Band Music

3. Individual Music

4. Handouts

5. Notes

Store Rentals - Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone

Students usually rent to own these instruments but may use a quality used instrument. (Please check with a band director if you plan to purchase or borrow an instrument from somewhere other than our music stores. We want to make sure your student has a great experience that will set them up for success. There are lots of instrument shaped objects out there and we want to help your child be successful.)

CCISD Rentals - Oboe, Bassoon, French Horn, Euphonium, Tuba

These specialty instruments are not widely available to rent from a music store so school districts (and many colleges) own them and rent them out to students. We will send home the CCISD rental paperwork once school begins. In the meantime, please use the links below to acquire all of the other necessary equipment for the instrument:
